Our newest facility in Gatwick's North Terminal is now open

17th May 2011 | News

Building on the success of our award-winning lounge at Gatwick Airport’s South Terminal, today we opened our first 'super-lounge' in Gatwick's North Terminal.  ‘No.1 Gatwick’ is located airside and offers a broad and innovative range of facilities for departing and transferring passengers, including:

Lounge, with a complimentary bistro-style menu, and fully-tended bar, mini-cinema, family room, games rooms and free Wi-Fi throughout the lounge. £20 per adult.
Travel Spa, with shower suites and a range of salon and spa services, including: manicure, pedicure, massage, facials, hairdressing & garra rufa fish foot massage.  Showers cost £10 and spa treatments start from as little as £15.
Business centre, with individual computer stations, email, printing and fax facilities, self-service refreshments and private meeting rooms, which can also be booked separately from £12.50.

The lounge offers a wide range of entertainment options including a mini-cinema, games room, indoor garden wall and children’s play area.  You can even take advantage of the new Travel Spa – a first for Gatwick airport – or the stand-alone business centre.  A range of complimentary services are also available including foreign currency (delivered directly to the lounge), travel insurance that can be booked online within the lounge or access to a personal shopping service from World Duty Free.

For just £20 for up to three hours, No.1 Gatwick can be accessed by any passenger departing from the North Terminal, giving travellers an opportunity to ‘upgrade’ their journey ahead of holidays or business meetings.

The travel spa has been designed and developed in conjunction with Debi Green, formerly Group Spa Director of The Sanctuary, and will include a range of products from some of the world’s leading beauty therapy brands.

Phil Cameron, Founder and CEO of No.1 Traveller, commented: “We’re delighted to be opening a new, world-class lounge at Gatwick, which will change the pre-flight offer for over seven million passengers. We’re bringing passengers more choice than ever before, so that spending time at the airport can become another memorable part of their journey.”

Robin Longden, Gatwick Airport’s Chief Commercial Officer, said:  “At Gatwick, we want our passengers to feel as if their holiday starts right here at the airport and not at the point at which they reach their chosen holiday destination.  Our £1billion investment programme is geared towards making the passenger experience more pleasant and enjoyable – providing better, speedier check-in products, shorter queues at security and delivering more modern, spacious departure lounge areas.  The new No.1 Traveller lounge in Gatwick’s North Terminal will complement the improvements being delivered across the entire airport.”
