No.1 Traveller, the premium airport hospitality company, has won the ‘Highly Commended’ category in this year’s Priority Pass Lounge of the Year 2011 awards for the second consecutive year, beating off stiff competition from over 600 airport lounges around the world.
No.1 Traveller’s Gatwick lounge, No.1 Gatwick, located in the South Terminal, is the only lounge in the UK to win an award, standing testament to the company’s premium driveway to runway concept.
Michael Robey, Head of Experience at No.1 Traveller, said, “We are thrilled to win an award in the Highly Commended category at the Priority Pass Lounge of the Year awards, for the second year in a row. These awards are voted for by frequent flyers so this award recognises that we are delivering the services that passengers really want. We look forward to building on this success with the launch of our two new lounges in Gatwick’s North Terminal and Heathrow Terminal 3.”
Jonathan French, Head of Brand at Priority Pass, said, “The Priority Pass awards are based on over 40,000 ratings by our members and speak volumes for the high quality offered by No.1 Traveller. Our members are discerning travellers and visit lounges all over the world, so this award comes from an impeccable source.”
No.1 Traveller operates airport lounges in Gatwick’s South Terminal and Stansted airports with their first ‘super-lounge’ opening in Gatwick North in May 2011, followed by No.1 Heathrow at Terminal 3 in August 2011 – both offering panoramic views of the airport and a range of innovative new facilities including a travel spa, games room, mini-cinema and dedicated business centre.
